Spring into the Season with a Green Smoothie!

Excited to be headed into Spring!

I love the seasonal produce in the Spring and Summer.  There's nothing better than getting the freshest of the fresh at a local Farmers Market - just trying to patiently wait for the summer outdoor markets here in Kansas while the rest of my Abundant Living team in California get's Famers Market earlier... (#jealous!)

One great way to take advantage of all the seasonal produce in the Spring and Summer season, while also blessing your body with a big dose of healthy nutrition, is my favorite Green Smoothie!

This smoothie is full of alkaline forming foods which have helped me experience increased daily energy and clearer skin as the top noticeable benefits.

  • My #1 recommendation to actually enjoy this smoothie is to have a high-powered blender that will really get this smoothie - no chunkiness, please! (I LOVE my Vitamix blender)
  • My #2 recommendation is to not expect this to taste like a Jamba Juice smoothie! You may have no clue of the sugar content in most of those and this Green Smoothie is made to be a great option for anyone needing to watch their sugar intake (which really should be the majority of us!)
  • My #3 recommendation is to blend with a couple ice cubes as this is even more refreshing when it's really cold.

Okay, let me know below in the comments if you try it or have ideas for healthy add-ins!  Enjoy! :)
